INC-20512 Software Center says Contoso Expenses failed, but it works
Since Monday Software Center shows Contoso Expenses as 'Failed' and every night it installs again (I see the progress bar in the morning). The app opens and works: it says version 4.2. My colleagues in Finance have the same.

What you practise
Read a deployment's status in Software Center and in the MECM console.
Review the Configuration Manager client logs on the PC.
Take into account that the whole team has the same problem.
Re-evaluate the deployment and check it reports success.
You solve it in a simulated console (PowerShell, cmd or bash) with the directory, the inventory and the ticket page. It is checked against the state of the system, not a template: hiding the symptom is not enough. When you close it you write the work note (cause, change, check and follow-up) and get your score.
