Ayuda

Empezar

No distingue mayúsculas.

Help

Getting started

  1. Create a free account with email and password, or sign in with Google. Pick a technician name and an avatar.
  2. The first time you will see a two-minute tour. Repeat it whenever you like from Take the tour in the sidebar.
  3. The ES / EN button at the top switches the language of everything, tickets included.

A ticket from start to finish

  1. Pick a ticket in the queue. Open tickets are sorted by priority.
  2. Assign it to yourself with Assign to me. The SLA starts counting then: 20 minutes for a P1, 30 for a P2 and 45 for a P3.
  3. Investigate in the console or with the actions on the ticket page: the buttons run the same command you would type, and the console shows it.
  4. Fix the cause, not just the symptom, and check it. The checklist on the ticket page ticks off what you have done.
  5. Close it: pick the resolution code and write the work note with the cause, the change, the check and the follow-up.
  6. Review the result: what was missing, an example note and one way to solve it, with the link to the guide.

If you close a ticket that isn't fixed yet, it stays open, the SLA keeps running and it costs you points: like a user calling back.

How scoring works

Each ticket starts at 100 points and loses points for what would make the work worse on a real shift:

WhatPoints off
Each hint (hint)10
Each command that doesn't exist, from the fourth on2
Each element missing from the note (cause, change, check, follow-up)10
A note under 15 words10
A resolution code that isn't the right one10
Closing outside the SLA10
Each time you closed it before it was fixed10

Stars: three from 90 points, two from 70 and one from 40. The result is resolved when there is nothing to comment on, resolved with observations when it is fixed but something above can improve, and unresolved when the cause is still there.

The tools

Ticket queue

Open and Closed tabs. Each row shows the ticket, the requester, the priority, the SLA left and the status. You can repeat any ticket from Closed.

Ticket page

At the top, the user's text. Alongside, the requester (user, location, device) and the affected asset, whose details change when you fix it. The actions are shortcuts for the case's most common commands.

Console

PowerShell or cmd depending on the ticket. help shows the basics, hint gives the next hint, ticket shows the ticket again and cls clears the screen. The up and down arrows repeat commands. It is not case-sensitive.

Go to the desk

On some tickets, the Go to the desk tab opens a simulated desktop of the user's machine, with apps such as Network settings, Storage, Services, BitLocker or Company Portal, and the Event Viewer, where the clue that isn't in the ticket usually sits. Each button does the same as the equivalent console command.

Directory

The simulated Active Directory for contoso.local: organisational units, users, groups and computers, the same ones as in the tickets. You can unlock, reset passwords, enable or disable accounts and change groups with buttons or with PowerShell (Get-ADUser, Search-ADAccount, Add-ADGroupMember…). It has its own practice requests and a button to put it back as it was at the start of the shift.

Inventory

Head office servers and printers, with a status that follows the open tickets: a printer with a stuck queue shows an incident until you fix it.

Progress and My account

Progress shows your best result on each ticket. In My account you see your details, sign out or delete the account.
